Lonely Planet urges Brits to make most of holiday time by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Lonely Planet has urged British people to make the most of their weekends and holiday time.

A survey by the travel information provider found that of the eight weekend days ordinary workers get every month, Britons are only taking an average of two days out.

More than a quarter (28%) do not take any time out at all.

Money was cited as the main reason for people not making the most of their free time, followed by a lack of time and a shortage of inspiration.

When people do take the opportunity to go out and enjoy their time off work, going to the seaside was found to be the most popular activity.

Lonely Planet spokesperson Tom Hall encouraged Britons to sign up to a newsletter from the company providing ideas and recommendations.
