Mexico and Turkey "key winter destinations for Brits" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Mexico and Turkey look set to be key destinations for autumn and winter sun during the coming seasons, according to International Currency Exchange (Ice).

The company revealed that orders for the Mexican peso have increased by 400% in the past two years, despite a fall in the value of the pound against the currency.

Turkey"s lira is now the third most popular currency ordered from Ice after the euro and the US dollar.

Sterling has recently experienced a recovery against the lira following a slight dip in May.

Joanna Williams, head of marketing for Ice, said: "Certainly Turkey and Mexico provide low cost of living combined with plenty of sun, sand and sea for a great autumn or winter break.

"We"re also seeing a real jump in orders for the Australian dollar - up 80% as we head into their summer season."

The Croatian kuna and the Canadian dollar are the sixth and seventh most popular currencies available from Ice respectively, followed by the Chinese yuan, the United Arab Emirates dirham and the Egyptian pound.
