New Hotel To Open At Gatwick Airport
New hotel to open at Gatwick Airport by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Gatwick Airport has unveiled plans for a new multi-million-pound hotel, which will be located in the North Terminal.
Under the newly-announced plans, work on the 192-bedroom Hampton by Hilton hotel will begin in early 2011 and is expected to be completed in time for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
This latest addition to Gatwick"s hotel scene will offer three-star accommodation to both business and leisure travellers, with the airport"s bosses explaining that the new contract signed with operator Shiva Hotels Limited is further evidence that it is adopting a "passenger-focused approach" to future developments.
"This new hotel development will be fantastic news for passengers who will have the choice to stay in one of the existing four-star hotels in the North and South Terminals or stay in this more affordable but luxury three-star hotel when it opens in 2012," explained Emma Rees, head of property at Gatwick Airport.
News of the new hotel comes just days after it was confirmed that Gatwick has now been given permission to start welcoming the Airbus A380.
This latest development should mean that a number of carriers will be able to start operating flights to New York and other destinations from the south London airport using the world"s largest passenger plane.
