Ms Mitchell"s comments come in response to recent research undertaken by the Orlando Tourism Bureau, which revealed 73% of children admitted spending time with their family made them happy on their last holiday.

Meanwhile, 59% claimed they would complete their homework without being nagged at by their parents if it meant going on holiday to a location such as Orlando.

STR noted the highest demand for hotel rooms in America since 1987 with 293.07 million rooms sold during summer 2010 as a whole.
