BA offering new route for skiers by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Skiers and snowboarders will benefit from a new link to the Alps this winter, with British Airways set to launch a route from London City airport to Chambery in south-east France.
Travellers will be able to choose from four weekly flights from 18 December until the end of March 2011.
BA CityFlyer, a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways, will operate the services on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays using a fleet of brand new Embraer 190 aircraft.
Luke Hayhoe, the carrier"s commercial manager, said: "Our schedule is ideally set up to give our customers the opportunity to spend a long weekend, a full week, or even longer, skiing on some of the world"s best slopes and resorts.
"Only a few short hours after taking off from London"s Docklands, our customers can be in a winter wonderland of 120 ski resorts, all set amidst the majesty and splendour of the French and Swiss Alps."
BA also announced this month that it would be extending its network of European flights from the UK with the introduction of a new route from Heathrow to Paris Orly.
