Delta to boost international flights in 2011 by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Delta Airlines has announced that it will develop its network of international flights in 2011, with new services to destinations throughout Europe and Asia.
Highlights of the expansion will include a new twice-daily route from Boston to London Heathrow, which will be operated by a Boeing 767-300ER from 26 March.
Travellers will also be offered daily flights from Miami to Heathrow from the same date next year.
Other developments in Delta"s European network will include connections to Paris Charles de Gaulle from Boston and New York JFK and a new link between Seattle and Amsterdam.
The airline has recently seen revenue growth of more than 50% in Asia and has applied to the US government to launch new routes to Beijing and Guangzhou and expand services to Shanghai and Manila.
Glen Hauenstein, Delta"s executive vice president of network planning, revenue management and marketing, said: "New flights to China, London"s Heathrow airport and increased flights to our international alliance partners" gateways at Paris Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam Schiphol and Guangzhou are cornerstones of our international plan for 2011."
