Eastern Airways to launch Cardiff to Aberdeen flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Eastern Airways has announced a new route that will link Cardiff to Aberdeen.

The regional carrier will operate daily weekday and Sunday flights between the two cities via Newcastle from 4 January 2011.

Passengers will benefit from a significant reduction in journey times compared to other air, road or rail travel options between south Wales and north-east Scotland, Eastern Airways claimed.

The company operates more flights from Aberdeen airport than any other airline.

Roger Hage, the carrier"s ground operations manager, said: "Aberdeen is Europe"s energy capital and our link from south Wales to north-east Scotland will be of significant benefit to offshore workers.

"From New Year we"ll be offering the fastest transport link to Aberdeen from Cardiff, which will save business and leisure travellers valuable time and strengthen business connections."

Patrick Duffy, managing director of Cardiff airport, said the new route will meet strong demand for a connection to Aberdeen.

All passengers departing from the Scottish base will have the option of using Eastern Airways" dedicated business lounge.
