EasyJet links Liverpool to Gibraltar by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet will provide a new travel option for people based in north-west England next year - a service from Liverpool John Lennon airport to Gibraltar.

From 29 March 2011, passengers will be able to choose from three weekly flights to the British overseas territory, which is located just off the coast of southern Spain at the entrance to the Mediterranean.

Ali Gayward, easyJet"s UK commercial manager, described Gibraltar as a "unique holiday spot" that is famous for its 426-metre-high rock and a history that blends Spanish and British cultures.

Robin Tudor, head of PR for Peel Airports, said: "This will be the first time scheduled flights will be available to Gibraltar for the region"s passengers direct from Liverpool John Lennon airport and we expect this unique destination to be yet another easyJet success.

"At a time when many airlines are consolidating their business across the UK, it is great to see easyJet continuing to develop services from here."

The airline recently confirmed new flights to Salzburg, Brussels and Tallinn from Liverpool, bringing its total number of destinations served from the airport to 33.
