EasyJet offers Mallorca flights from Manchester by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet yesterday (25 November) announced a new route providing direct flights to Palma on the Balearic island of Mallorca from Manchester airport.

The inaugural service is due to depart on 12 March 2011 in time for the Easter and summer travel seasons.

EasyJet now provides access to a total of 23 destinations from Manchester.

Ali Gayward, the airline"s UK commercial manager, said that the Palma route was launched to cater for the leisure market, following the recent introduction of three new links to important business destinations from Manchester.

Andrew Harrison, the airport"s managing director, said: "Palma, with its great weather and picturesque harbours, is ideal for those people seeking a new summer holiday destination or a cultural city break.

"Since it first started operating from Manchester in 2007, easyJet has gone from strength to strength. To have grown to 23 services in those three years shows its commitment to Manchester and the wider north-west and we look forward to working together to make the route a success."

The low-cost carrier will today (26 November) launch direct daily flights from Manchester to Hamburg in Germany.
