Etihad Airways named world"s best airline by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Etihad Airways was named the world"s leading airline for the second year in succession at the grand final of the 2010 World Travel Awards in London last night (7 November).

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier was also recognised for its first class services, while Cathay Pacific was named the best economy operator and Singapore Airlines received an accolade for its inflight entertainment offering.

London picked up the award for the world"s best destination and Montego Bay in Jamaica was voted the leading beach holiday hotspot.

Dubai was also among the winners, with the Burj Al Arab picking up the top hotel accolade and the city itself being named the leading cruise port.

Other award recipients on the night included Universal Orlando in the US (world"s leading theme park) and Forte Village in Italy (world"s leading resort).
