The return of the Tour of Britain cycling race is set to bring in extra visitors to the country, experts say.
According to Norfolk Tourism, there will be an influx of holidaymakers to Norfolk in 2011 and 2012 thanks to the sporting event, BBC News reported.
Norfolk"s direct rail link to Stratford station is also expected to witness an increase in business during the London Olympic Games in 2012.
Richard Ellis, chairman of Norfolk Tourism, told the BBC: "For Norfolk we"ve got a couple of very exciting years ahead.
"Getting Norfolk"s marketing right is going to be really important. We"re getting reports across all accommodation sectors of strong bookings for 2011."
Officials also expect a significant rise in international visitors for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which is scheduled to take place in April 2011.
Recent figures from Visit Britain suggest that the number of foreign visitors planning to spend their holiday in Britain next year will rise by 300,000.
