Delta To Launch US Routes From Heathrow
Delta to launch US routes from Heathrow by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Delta Airlines will expand the range of US routes available to travellers at London Heathrow this year with the introduction of flights to Boston and Miami.
The carrier will launch non-stop daily services to the cities on 26 March.
It has been able to expand its presence at Heathrow after British Airways, American Airlines and Iberia were forced to relinquish some of their slots at the London hub as part of their recent merger.
Delta has reportedly added more non-stop routes from Heathrow than any of its US competitors since air travel between the US and UK was liberalised in 2007.
From summer 2011, the airline"s network from the London airport will comprise flights to Atlanta, Detroit, New York and Minneapolis-St Paul, as well as the Boston and Miami connections.
Perry Cantarutti, the carrier"s senior vice president in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "Delta"s industry-leading growth in Heathrow service underscores our commitment to the market.
"Heathrow is the airport our international business customers consistently tell us they prefer when flying to London."
Delta is also expanding in the Far East this year with the launch of flights to Tokyo Haneda from Detroit and Los Angeles.
