Holidaymakers planning a trip to South America will have a new travel option later this year when KLM introduces flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The airline announced that, following an absence of ten years, it will resume services to the capital city from Amsterdam on 31 October.
Buenos Aires will be KLM"s 67th intercontinental destination and its seventh in Latin America, joining cities such as Sao Paulo in Brazil, Lima in Peru and Quito in Ecuador.
Peter Hartman, the carrier"s president and chief executive officer, said: "With Buenos Aires as the seventh destination for KLM in Latin America, we reinforce our position in this strongly growing region.
"Latin America is of key importance to the extensive Air France-KLM network."
Mr Hartman described Buenos Aires as one of the most important cities in Latin America and a "very popular" tourist destination.
UK travellers planning a long-haul journey with KLM can begin their trip by catching flights to Amsterdam, which are available from London Heathrow, Birmingham, Liverpool, Aberdeen and other airports.
