London exhibitions could boost Oman tourism by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Oman"s tourism industry could receive a boost this year as a result of some exhibitions taking place in London.
The British Museum recently launched Adornment and Identity: Jewellery and Costume from Oman, which was created in association with the country"s tourism ministry.
Visitors can see a number of artefacts and exhibits providing an insight into Omani culture and heritage, including weapons and traditional dress from the Muscat, Sharqiya, Dakhliyah and Dhofar regions.
The show will remain open at the London museum until 11 September 2011.
Also coming to England"s capital city this year is A Day in My Life, Oman"s first international photography exhibition.
Due to run from 28 May to 12 June, the display will provide a representation of the country through the work of local photographers.
The Destinations holiday and travel show at Earls Court this month provided a platform for the Oman Ministry of Tourism to promote the opening of the new Millennium resort in Mussanah, which began welcoming guests on 1 February.
