New easyJet routes from Edinburgh by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet will expand its presence in Scotland from September this year with the introduction of three new routes from Edinburgh airport.

The carrier will provide the country"s only direct flights to Athens in Greece, as well as connections to Tenerife in the Canary Islands and Grenoble in France.

A new 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft will be based at Edinburgh airport to operate the services, which will bring the total number of easyJet routes from Scotland to 41.

Tenerife will be served by twice-weekly flights from 19 September, while Athens will receive three weekly connections to the Scottish capital from the following day.

Hugh Aitken, the airline"s commercial manager for Scotland, said: "EasyJet is excited to announce the launch of three fantastic new routes including Scotland"s only direct route to Athens, connecting Edinburgh - the Athens of the north - to the Greek capital.

"We are responding to customer demand, providing an even greater choice of city, sun and ski destinations from Edinburgh and further strengthening our position as Scotland"s favourite airline."

Other easyJet services available to travellers based in Scotland include flights from Aberdeen to London Gatwick and Stansted and routes from Glasgow to Paris, Berlin and Malaga, among other cities.
