Trafalgar Square event to showcase Canadian destinations by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Canada Day will be returning to Trafalgar Square on 1 July.

Visitors will be able to learn more about some of the most exciting destinations on offer across the country and get information about travelling there.

Arranged to showcase Canadian culture and celebrate the nation"s 144th birthday, the event will feature entertainment including a street hockey tournament, outdoor performances and live music.

Visitors will also be able to sample a range of food and drink and see cooking demonstrations by a celebrity chef.

Jim Wright, Canadian high commissioner to the UK, said: "As Canadians, we are always proud to celebrate Canada Day, but never as much as when we are with our friends abroad.

"Last year saw 50,000 people on Trafalgar Square, and I"m delighted that 2011 promises to be even bigger and better."

The event will be free for all to visit.
