Air India launches online check-in by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers catching flights with Air India can now make use of the airline"s online check-in service.
The web check-in window will open 48 hours before scheduled departures for domestic and international services from the airline"s six metro airports, including Delhi and Mumbai.
People travelling from non-metro airports will be able to check in online up to 24 hours in advance.
International passengers will be issued with a confirmation slip instead of a boarding pass and should head to the baggage drop counter at the airport to drop off their luggage and have their document verified.
Travellers catching domestic flights with Air India will receive a boarding pass when checking in online and can proceed directly to the security checkpoint if they are only carrying hand luggage.
The airline operates international routes from several major cities across India, including Amritsar, Chennai and Ahmedabad, which link the country to global destinations such as London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
