Bmi Installing New Seats On Short Haul Aircraft
Bmi installing new seats on short-haul aircraft by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers catching flights with bmi will soon be accommodated in new leather seats across the airline"s fleet of short-haul aircraft.
As part of a refurbishment programme due to be completed by the summer, the carrier is fitting lighter seats that are expected to boost overall aircraft performance, reports TravelMole.
Several other changes will be taking place on Airbus A319 and A320 planes over the coming months, including the installation of new carpets, curtains and bulkheads.
A redesigned lighting scheme is also being introduced to create a sense of space within the cabin.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, bmi"s chief executive officer, said: "We are committed to improving our customers" experience and continue to ensure that bmi is in a position to deliver a truly competitive product in the marketplace."
The airline announced earlier this year that it will be expanding the range of international services available from Heathrow with the introduction of flights to Bergen and Stavanger in Norway and Casablanca and Marrakech in Morocco from the beginning of April.
