EasyJet links Jersey to Glasgow by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet will provide a new travel option for UK holidaymakers this year with the introduction of a route linking Jersey to Glasgow.

The airline will operate a summer service between the destinations from June to September, offering three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Passengers heading to Glasgow can explore a "cultural heritage hotspot" and choose from a "wealth" of tourist attractions, easyJet said, while Jersey will also have more opportunities to showcase its visitor experiences.

Ali Gayward, the carrier"s UK commercial manager, described the route announcement as "great news" for Jersey.

"Not only will we make a positive contribution to local tourism on the island, we will also provide Jersey residents with an affordable link to Scotland," he added.

Paul Routier, the local government"s assistant minister for economic development, said: "EasyJet"s announcement today is excellent news in terms of the opportunities this low-cost air route will afford island residents as well [as] the inbound tourism benefits."

The airline also provides daily flights from Jersey to Liverpool.
