Gatwick Express presents award to easyJet by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Gatwick Express has presented an engraved crystal trophy to easyJet to recognise the airline"s contribution to its business.

The operator, which provides rail links between central London and Gatwick airport, identified easyJet as the best-performing carrier for online and inflight ticket sales for its train services.

Chris Burchell, managing director of Southern Railway, revealed that about a quarter of Gatwick Express passengers come from easyJet, approximately a third of whom pre-purchase their ticket during their flight or online.

Carolyn McCall, the airline"s chief executive officer, said: "We really value working with Gatwick Express, which provides such an easy and convenient way for our customers to get to Gatwick airport.

EasyJet passengers can get a 10% discount if they buy a train ticket online before their journey or can avoid queuing up by purchasing one during their flight.
