Kenya Paradise For Adventure Seekers
Kenya "paradise for adventure seekers" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Travellers planning an adventurous escape in the near future have been encouraged to consider Kenya.
Angie Sloan, regional director of the Kenya Tourist Board, described the nation as "the activity capital of Africa".
She highlighted various pursuits and excursions on offer across the country, such as white-water rafting and rock climbing.
"From glacial mountains with snow-capped peaks and dramatic river valleys to spectacular wide-open grasslands and coral reefs along the Indian Ocean, Kenya is a paradise for adventure junkies searching for their next fix," said Ms Sloan.
The spokeswoman recommended the Tana river, which is located 95km outside the Kenyan capital Nairobi, as a good option for people interested in white-water rafting.
Climbers can head to Mount Ololokwe 30km north of the Samburu reserve, the summit of which is located at an altitude of 1,853 metres.
The Kenya Tourist Board recently released a report showing that the UK is still the top market for the African country, with nearly 1.1m Britons visiting by air and sea in 2010.
