London Stansted welcomes bmibaby by Cheap Flights Booker UK

London Stansted today (28 March) welcomes bmibaby, the low-cost subsidiary of bmi, which will be operating direct flights to Belfast City airport.

The airline will provide up to 16 weekly connections to Northern Ireland"s capital city from the London base.

Airport operator BAA predicted that the route will be popular with business and leisure passengers alike, with attractions such as Titanic"s Dock and Pump House and venues like Waterfront Hall helping Belfast to become "a must-visit city for the discerning traveller".

Nick Barton, managing director of Stansted airport, said: "Bmibaby will operate up to 32 services a week to and from Stansted so this is not only exciting news for leisure travellers, keen to explore Belfast["s] highlights, but I"m sure the route will be very popular with business travellers reliant on direct flight connections to and from Belfast."

Launched in 2002, bmibaby operates flights from four other UK bases - East Midlands, Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester - to European cities and holiday destinations such as Amsterdam, Venice, Dubrovnik and Malaga.
