Tourists Returning To Tunisia

Tourists returning to Tunisia by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers are beginning to return to Tunisia following the recent civil unrest in the country, which led to the departure of long-time president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

A number of holiday companies and flight operators have resumed services to the north African destination, the Tunisian National Tourism Office revealed.

The organisation said that the return of travellers to popular resorts and attractions is being welcomed by locals, who are keen to return to business and life as normal following the so called Jasmine revolution.

Last year, the nation experienced an unprecedented 28% increase in UK visitors.

Anissa Ramoundi, UK and Ireland director of the national tourist board, said the recent events have been "very positive" for most Tunisians, giving them the chance to speak freely for the first time.

She added: "Having just returned myself, I would say visitors will receive an even warmer welcome as Tunisians are positive about the future and keen to ensure their visitors have wonderful holidays.

"The UK market is incredibly important for Tunisia and I hope that British visitors will support us as we get back on our feet."
