Young Travellers Pursuing Sense Of Adventure
Young travellers "pursuing sense of adventure" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Young travellers are becoming increasingly adventurous and realising ambitions to seek out new experiences around the world, according to a survey by Continental Tyres.
The poll, which was carried out ahead of the company"s 4x4 Adventure Trophy competition, found that the average young Briton embarks on six short trips a year and three longer holidays every two years from the age of 18.
Modern-day 20-somethings will typically visit nine different countries before they are 25 and first travelled to a foreign destination when they were eight years old.
Another finding of the survey indicates that the parents of this generation also have ambitions to travel and want to visit new and exotic destinations.
"What is evident from our work is that people do want adventure when they travel and that all ages are eager to experience new locations and cultures," said Continental spokesman Tim Bailey.
"People want to get off the beaten track, to find new places to explore."
Outside Europe, the most popular destinations for the "adventure generation" are the US, Africa, Canada and Australia, according to the survey.
