Air France Offering Flights To Cambodia
Air France offering flights to Cambodia by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Air France this week introduced a route linking Paris to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The airline is reportedly the only European carrier to operate scheduled flights from the continent to the south-east Asian country.
Passengers can choose from three weekly services on the route, which represents a return to Cambodia for Air France following a 37-year absence.
Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, chief executive of Air France-KLM, said the connection is part of the group"s strategy to increase capacity in Asia.
"These three new weekly flights will promote economic and cultural ties with this buoyant region and also meet a strong demand from our leisure customers," he added.
Services are currently operated by Airbus A340-300 aircraft offering 275 seats, which will be replaced by Boeing 777-200 planes with 309 seats from 9 May.
Phnom Penh is one of 11 destinations being added to the group"s global network in 2011.
Air France is set to offer new flights to destinations including Lima in Peru and Sierra Leone"s capital of Freetown, while KLM is introducing connections to Xiamen in China, Miami in the US and the Danish city of Aalborg.
