BA boosts Scotland flights from London City by Cheap Flights Booker UK
British Airways is set to boost access to Scotland this year with the introduction of additional flights to Edinburgh and Glasgow from London City.
The airline"s wholly owned subsidiary BA CityFlyer will operate extra daily services to both destinations from 2 May.
A fifth daily connection will be available to Glasgow, increasing capacity on the route by 32%, while Edinburgh will be served by eight flights per day, providing a capacity boost of 15%.
Luke Hayhoe, BA CityFlyer"s commercial manager, pointed out that the services provide a number of advantages for business passengers, but are also being used for leisure purposes.
"Leisure passengers are becoming increasingly aware of just how convenient London City airport is for the centre of London for those wanting to take in the sights or [a] West End show in the city"s Theatreland district," he said.
London City chief executive Richard Gooding said the carrier"s capacity increases on its "vital" links to Glasgow and Edinburgh will "further benefit passengers travelling to Scotland".
