"Brand of the decade" award for Virgin Atlantic by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Virgin Atlantic was recognised as "brand of the decade" at the recent Travel Marketing Awards in London.

Organised by the travel industry division of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the awards are designed to showcase the sector"s most innovative and successful promotional campaigns.

The "brand of the decade" title received by Virgin Atlantic was a special "one-off" award organised for this year"s event.

It was the second major honour to be presented to the airline in a week, after the company received the top prize of a Golden Arrow at the British Television Advertising Awards.

The accolade recognised a Virgin Atlantic advert carrying the slogan "Your airline"s either got it or it hasn"t".

Sales and marketing director Paul Dickinson said the success of the company has always relied in part on its "fantastic brand" and the way it communicates with its customers.

"By consistently investing in excellent marketing over recent years, we have ensured that the strength of the Virgin Atlantic brand is higher now than it has ever been, and we will continue to work to keep it as an industry leader," he added.
