British Airways Offering More Rio De Janeiro Flights
British Airways offering more Rio de Janeiro flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Britons planning a trip to South America will have more travel options to choose from this year, following the announcement that British Airways will be offering more flights to Rio de Janeiro.
During the winter 2011-12 season, the airline is set to double the frequency of its services to the Brazilian city from Heathrow, meaning travellers will be offered six weekly connections.
Flights will be available on every day of the week except Monday.
Neil Cottrell, head of network planning for BA, said the airline is responding to a "real increase in demand" for Rio de Janeiro.
"By doubling the number of frequencies, we are able to offer our customers more choice and greater availability," he added.
"Brazil is also experiencing strong economic growth and this capacity increase is a great opportunity for British Airways to be part of that growth."
BA passengers heading to Brazil can also catch flights to Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Salvador.
