Brits Go To Malta For Good Weather And Culture
Brits "go to Malta for good weather and culture" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The majority of Brits who visit Malta are attracted to the island nation by its pleasant climate and the range of historical and cultural experiences on offer, the local tourist board has revealed.
Alex Incorvaja, UK and Ireland director of the Malta Tourism Authority, pointed out that many visitors to the archipelago are "well aware" of its "unique culture and history".
While some holidaymakers are mainly interested in relaxing during their time in the region, others want to try some of the different activities and excursions on offer.
"We find many of the tourists from Britain like to visit Gozo - Malta"s smaller sister island - and many partake in outdoor sporting activities as well as visiting … cultural sites," said Mr Incorvaja.
Highlighting some of the attractions on offer in Malta, the tourism spokesman recommended a visit to the Hypogeum, an underground temple which he described as an "excellent example" of early Maltese culture.
The site is highly popular among holidaymakers, so early booking is advised.
