Campaign "encouraging Australia holiday bookings" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Tourism Australia"s latest campaign is enjoying success in some of the country"s key markets, the organisation has revealed.

The initiative, which features the slogan "There"s nothing like Australia", has been introduced in 29 destinations across the globe.

Speaking in Sydney, Andrew McEvoy, managing director of the country"s national tourism agency, said there are early indications that the promotional efforts are having their desired effect.

"While the campaign has been running in our overseas markets for less than a year, there are early indications that [it] is really hitting the mark with travellers," he said.

"Early results in four key markets indicate that more than half of the people who had seen the campaign had taken action to bring them a step closer to booking an Australian holiday."

Word-of-mouth marketing is proving to be a valuable aspect of the campaign, with people who have visited the country using Facebook and other online platforms to share their experiences with prospective visitors.
