Direct access to Amman for BA passengers by Cheap Flights Booker UK

British Airways has announced that its passengers now have direct access to Amman, the capital of Jordan, as a result of a codeshare agreement with fellow oneworld carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Valid for travel from 19 April, the deal allows travellers to purchase a BA ticket to fly on a service operated by Royal Jordanian.

Daily flights to Amman are available from London Heathrow"s third terminal, providing a choice of economy and business class seats onboard an Airbus A330.

Jamie Cassidy, BA"s general manager for the Middle East, described the new arrangement as "a real bonus" for customers heading to Jordan.

"It"s a strong addition to the destinations BA serves and will prove popular with both direct customers and those connecting from around our global network," he added.

Guido Ruther, Royal Jordanian"s chief commercial officer, said: "This will enhance the offer to oneworld customers and will strengthen the route and the competitiveness of the Royal Jordanian product even further."

The Middle Eastern airline has been codesharing on BA"s Scandinavian and domestic routes from Heathrow since 2008.
