EasyJet announces Glasgow to Amsterdam route by Cheap Flights Booker UK

EasyJet has announced a new route that will link Glasgow airport to Amsterdam.

The low-cost carrier is set to operate daily flights to Schiphol airport in the Dutch capital, which are expected to prove popular among business and leisure travellers alike.

A number of developments are set to boost easyJet"s offering from Glasgow, including the introduction of a new service to Jersey and the addition of an early morning flight on the airline"s route to London Gatwick from 6 June.

An Airbus A320 featuring 180 seats will also be added to the carrier"s fleet at the airport.

Commenting on the introduction of the new route, Hugh Aitken, easyJet"s commercial manager for Scotland, said: "We have listened to customer feedback and there was a demand for Amsterdam as both a business and leisure destination.

"Amsterdam will be our 15th easyJet route from Glasgow and further demonstrates our commitment to [the] city and the region, by offering passengers a greater choice of destinations at affordable prices."

Francois Bourienne, commercial director at Glasgow airport, said the launch will ensure that Amsterdam remains one of the base"s leading destinations.
