EasyJet: Easter travellers taking city breaks and sun holidays by Cheap Flights Booker UK
City breaks and sun holidays are the most popular options among Britons taking advantage of the forthcoming Easter and royal wedding bank holidays, according to easyJet.
The airline revealed that the summer hotspots of Malaga in Spain and Faro in Portugal are among the leading destinations for its passengers booking flights in late April and early May, along with the cities of Madrid, Paris and Amsterdam.
Highlighting some of the experiences on offer in these destinations, easyJet noted that Paris offers "fine dining, designer boutiques and a culture fix", while Faro serves as a gateway to the golf courses of the Algarve.
Paul Simmons, the airline"s UK director, said: "The double bank holiday offers the perfect opportunity to get away from it all, and therefore it"s no surprise that Malaga is the most popular destination for British travellers during this period.
"Even though the UK weather has been very promising with temperatures higher than the average for April, it seems that savvy Brits are still keen to head abroad for guaranteed sunshine and a change of scenery."
Mr Simmons also revealed that easyJet still has seats available on Easter flights to more than 130 destinations across Europe and the Middle East.
Last weekend, the carrier launched its first route to Seville in southern Spain from London Gatwick.
