Emirates launching A380 flights to Shanghai by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers heading to the Far East will soon be able to fly to Shanghai on the Airbus A380.

Emirates has announced that it will deploy its 489-seater superjumbo on non-stop flights from Dubai to the Chinese city on 27 April.

The new route, which is the first scheduled A380 service to Shanghai, will feature three weekly connections on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Emirates" A380 network now features three destinations in China, following the launch of flights to Beijing in August 2010 and Hong Kong two months later.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, the airline"s chairman and chief executive, said: "Emirates has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with China; we began cargo operations between Dubai and Shanghai in 2002 and then started passenger services in 2004.

"The A380 launch demonstrates our continuing commitment to this important country, in addition to boosting trade between China and Dubai, the Middle East and Africa."

Emirates also uses the A380 on flights to Dubai from London Heathrow and Manchester, as well as routes from its Middle Eastern hub to destinations including Sydney, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand.
