Etihad Airways to promote Abu Dhabi during flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Etihad Airways has recruited local cultural ambassador Ali Al Saloom to host a new inflight television programme focusing on the airline"s home base of Abu Dhabi.

Travellers catching flights to the destination can watch the programme from 1 May to learn about some of the sights, attractions and experiences on offer.

Etihad decided to introduce the inflight offering in response to growing interest in the cultural background and history of Abu Dhabi from tourists around the world.

The airline described Mr Al Saloom as a "young and talented Emirati" who is "passionate about promoting his country"s culture and heritage to residents and newcomers".

Chief commercial officer Peter Baumgartner added: "Etihad"s inflight entertainment service is perfect to showcase the fantastic growth and opportunities that exist in Abu Dhabi, whether it"s cultural, sporting or commercial, and the new programme offers this and much more so our passengers are encouraged to tune [in] the next time they fly with us."

The carrier operates flights to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow and Manchester airports and also flies to the destination from Dublin.
