Finland to host diverse events by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Visit Finland has highlighted some of the diverse events that will be taking place in the Scandinavian country this year, such as the Vaasa Choir Festival, which will feature more than 100 concerts over a five-day period from 18 to 22 May.

The Black and White Theatre Festival, which is described as an "alternative" event promoting puppet shows, dance and pantomime, will take place in Imatra from 24 to 28 May.

Helsinki will provide the backdrop for a range of special occasions and celebrations, such as the World Village Festival.

This free cultural showcase will bring performance artists from around the world to the city on 28 and 29 May.

The Finnish capital will also become a hub of activity in August with events like the Flow Festival (12-14 August), where music fans will be entertained by a line-up of artists including Kanye West, Mogwai and James Blake.

More than 6,000 runners from dozens of different countries are due to arrive in Finland ahead of the Helsinki City Marathon, which is scheduled for 20 August.
