Inflight Wi Fi Proves Popular On Norwegian Flights
Inflight Wi-Fi proves popular on Norwegian flights by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Norwegian Air Shuttle has revealed that its free inflight Wi-Fi offering is proving popular among customers.
On some flights, more than half of the passengers onboard were online at the same time.
During a journey from Oslo to Alicante on 14 April, 87 travellers were using the internet simultaneously at an altitude of 30,000 feet.
The service has also been going down well on flights to Oslo and Stockholm from London.
Hans Petter Aanby, Norwegian"s chief technology officer, said the airline has been "overwhelmed" by the response and confirmed plans to introduce Wi-Fi connectivity on all of the carrier"s new aircraft.
"This is a product that no other airline in Europe is currently offering, which gives us a huge competitive advantage," he added.
"Our passengers will soon be able to see in the booking process whether the aircraft has Wi-Fi."
Introduced in February, Norwegian"s high-speed broadband facility is set to feature on 11 aircraft by summer 2011 and 21 planes by the end of the year.
