Oman Hotel Industry Set For Record Year
Oman hotel industry set for record year by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The Oman Tourism Ministry has announced that the country"s hotel industry is on track for significant growth this year, with a record number of new properties due to open.
More than 1,400 rooms will be added to the nation"s accommodation offering as a result of the introduction of establishments such as the Sifawy Hotel in Muriya"s Jebel Sifah resort east of Muscat, the capital city.
The Sahab Hotel and The View are both located in the Hajar mountains, while the City Seasons Hotel and Golden Tulip Inn are situated in Muscat and have been welcoming guests since the beginning of the year.
Salem Al Mamari of the Oman Tourism Ministry said: "The new resorts and hotels are much welcomed as demand at peak times can exceed supply. Plus we also need to broaden the base of mid-range and budget hotels where demand is strong."
Travellers visiting the Middle Eastern nation this year will also be able to see new sights such as the Royal Opera House, which is due to open in late 2011.
