Qantas Easter services set to run as normal by Cheap Flights Booker UK
People planning to catch flights to Australia with Qantas this Easter will be able to travel as planned, following the news that key workers will not be going on strike.
The airline welcomed the confirmation that the Australian and International Pilots Association has joined the Australian Licensed Aircraft Engineers Association in deciding against industrial action.
Alan Joyce, Qantas" chief executive officer, welcomed the move, describing it as "sensible".
"Customers can now book their holidays safe in the knowledge that unions will not disrupt their plans," he added.
"Our priority is to ensure customers can visit family and friends and go on holidays without disruptions from union-led strikes."
Mr Joyce also revealed that further meetings are planned with union representatives in order to reach satisfactory agreements for the airline and its employees.
Qantas operates an international network that includes flights to Sydney and Melbourne from London Heathrow, as well as connections to cities such as Perth and Brisbane in Australia and Queenstown in New Zealand.
