St Vincent and Grenadines aims to be "Caribbean tourism capital" by Cheap Flights Booker UK
St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has launched a number of investments and initiatives with the aim of becoming the "new Caribbean tourism capital".
The 32-isle nation is home to attractions such as Mustique, the famous celebrity retreat, and the volcano of La Soufriere.
It has also provided locations for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.
In order to highlight and exploit the region"s tourism potential, local authorities have designed a new logo featuring the country"s national colours.
Other major initiatives include the construction of Argyle airport, which is due to open in early 2013, and the development of the Buccament Bay luxury resort.
Glen Beache, chief executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority, said: "SVG is perhaps one of the best-kept secrets of the Caribbean. It is time for the secret to be revealed with a new brand identity for this great destination.
"Through several major projects, we will greatly improve our ability to attract and host many more visitors to our islands."
