"As Tenerife is a year-round destination with very little seasonality in terms of available activities and attractions on offer, visitors can choose from an endless array of things to see and do," she said.

"Musts include a visit to the striking Teide National Park, a Unesco World Heritage site since 2007; boat trips to see our neighbouring resident whales and dolphins; [and] walking through our nature reserves."

Ms Louw also pointed out that holidaymakers can try exciting activities such as watersports or pay a visit to the island"s theme and water parks, including the highly popular Siam Park.
