Warsaw festival to celebrate Beethoven by Cheap Flights Booker UK

People with a passion for classical music will be heading to Warsaw this month to attend an event celebrating one of history"s greatest composers.

The 15th annual Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival begins on 9 April and will continue until 22 April.

During the two weeks, the Polish capital will welcome performers, artists and music scholars from around the world to celebrate the German composer and his vast body of work.

The event was introduced in Krakow in 1997 before moving seven years later to Warsaw, where it is now an important part of the local cultural calendar.

"The Beethoven Easter Festival is one of Warsaw"s biggest and most popular events," said Bogdan Becla, acting director of the Polish National Tourist Office.

"Visitors to the city will be treated to concerts, performances and exhibitions throughout the two weeks of the festival and it"ll be a great time to pay a visit to our capital city."
