Abta: African destinations experiencing strong growth by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Abta - The Travel Association has highlighted Africa as one of the global regions that is seeing the most pronounced growth in tourism terms.

Commenting on some of the less mainstream regions and locations on offer to modern travellers, a spokeswoman for the association said that there are many to choose from.

"Lots of different destinations are becoming increasingly popular," she said.

"The biggest growth is probably in Africa. There are lots of different countries there from Malawi to Namibia and lots of southern African countries - South Africa has seen huge growth in recent years."

Experiences on offer in southern Africa include seeing Table Mountain in Cape Town and visiting Victoria Falls, a waterfall system located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Abta spokeswoman pointed out that Africa is not the only region to boast emerging destinations that are steadily increasing in popularity, with countries such as Laos and Cambodia in south-east Asia also attracting more interest from travellers.
