Beach escapes "ideal honeymoon option for Brits" by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Secluded beach destinations are the ideal honeymoon hotspots for Britons, according to a recent survey.

Travel add-ons provider Holiday Extras carried out a poll of more than 3,000 people which found that 56% would pick a relaxing beach as their perfect post-wedding holiday location, as long as it is overseas.

Some 61% of women would like to spend their honeymoon by the sea, according to the research, compared to 51% of men.

However, one in three male respondents said they never dreamed about their first holiday as a married man.

Sean Hagger, head of commercial at Holiday Extras, said: "Your honeymoon should be the happiest, most relaxing holiday of your life, so it"s natural that people want to spend it in a happy, relaxing place where they"re guaranteed sunshine."

The potential for spending close time with a loved one on holiday is not restricted to the destination, according to the survey, as 11% of people said they think airports are romantic places.
