Galaxy Macau resort opens by Cheap Flights Booker UK
The Galaxy Macau resort, which is described as "Macau"s newest major attraction", opened its doors this week and welcomed more than 20,000 visitors in its first 90 minutes.
Between 30,000 and 40,000 guests per day are expected at the property, which is the only development of its kind due to open in the Chinese territory this year.
Galaxy Macau combines three well-known hotel brands - Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Okura Hotels & Resorts and Galaxy Hotel - offering a total of 2,200 five-star rooms, suites and villas.
It also encompasses more than 50 international food and beverage outlets, along with entertainment venues including a 3D cinema complex and the China Rouge private membership club, both of which are due to open later this year.
Keen shoppers can explore some of the property"s retail boulevards, which showcase Asian and international brands.
Dr Lui Che Woo, founder and chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group, said the resort will help turn Macau into a "diversified global tourism and entertainment hub".
He added: "By integrating traditional Asian culture with western management style, we have created a business model with "world class, Asian heart" that will drive the success of our signature property, Galaxy Macau, and help realise Macau"s vast potential as a tourism destination."
