Malaysia Airlines has unveiled an exclusive premium check-in lounge for business and first class passengers at its hub in Kuala Lumpur.

The facility, which is also open to members of the airline"s loyalty and frequent flyer programmes, is designed to complete departure formalities in a quick and easy manner.

Passengers catching flights from Kuala Lumpur will also benefit from new check-in technologies put in place to make the process as efficient as possible, Malaysia Airlines claimed.

The carrier also announced a new dining experience currently available to first class travellers flying between Kuala Lumpur and the cities of London, Amsterdam and Sydney.

Users of the service can pre-order their preferred choice of main course from a more extensive range of menus up to 24 hours before their flight.

Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid, chairman of the airline, said: "At Malaysia Airlines we are indeed mindful of the need to enhance our customers" experiences through continuous upgrade of our products and services across the board.

"We acknowledged it when we embarked on this transformation since 2006 in our quest to increase premium travellers on our flights, whilst setting our goal to become the number one airline in Asia."

He also underlined the importance introducing initiatives to cater for economy passengers, as well as those travelling in first and business class cabins.
