New destinations "in the pipeline" at Bristol airport by Cheap Flights Booker UK

Travellers based in south-west England could soon have the opportunity to catch flights to new locations from Bristol airport.

Managers of the base said they are confident that "new destinations are in the pipeline" after attending the Routes Europe event in Sardinia.

The annual conference, which took place in the Sardinian capital of Cagliari from 8 to 10 May, aims to bring airports and airlines together to discuss new flight and destination opportunities.

Representatives from Bristol met with a total of 20 airlines as part of an ongoing campaign to promote the airport and the south-west to European operators.

An iPad presentation was used to showcase the benefits and opportunities that the region has to offer.

"Feedback was positive, and several new route announcements are expected in the coming months as a result," the airport said in a statement.

The range of services available from Bristol was boosted in March this year with the launch of Aer Lingus Regional flights to Dublin, operated by Aer Arann.
