San Diego Zoo To Boast New Attractions
San Diego Zoo to boast new attractions by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Holidaymakers planning a trip to America"s west coast this year might be interested in visiting San Diego Zoo, which will boast some new attractions for the summer season.
Upon arrival, visitors can follow a route to Panda Canyon, which will feature newly built homes for takins, red pandas and pit vipers.
The zoo"s Sichuan takins are being given a habitat featuring hillsides that mimic their natural environment, while red pandas and pit vipers can also be seen in new accommodation.
After making their way past the Oriental landscape designed for these animals, guests will reach a new multi-level exhibit housing a northern Chinese leopard, featuring rocks for climbing or basking in the sun.
Another new addition for this summer is an aviary providing a home for trumpeter hornbills, which are recognisable by their distinctive bills.
Covering an area of 100 acres, San Diego Zoo is dedicated to protecting endangered species and their habitats.
It also manages a 1,800-acre safari park, encompassing a native species reserve and a research institute.
