South Australia recommended for wildlife experiences by Cheap Flights Booker UK

South Australia has been recommended as a good destination for travellers looking for some wildlife encounters.

Janice Kurrle, UK marketing manager at the South Australia Tourism Commission, recommended a number of experiences in the region, such as diving along the Eyre peninsula.

"There are a lot of diving opportunities in Australia, for example in South Australia at the Eyre peninsula people can go swimming with sea lions and giant tuna, which is something out of the ordinary," she said.

"Kangaroo Island is a destination where people are guaranteed to see Australian wildlife in its natural habitat."

Ms Kurrle also commented on the popularity of Australia as a gap year travel destination, highlighting characteristics such as its similarity to the UK in cultural terms and its diversity, with attractions ranging from the Great Barrier Reef to Ayers Rock.

It was recently announced that the city of Adelaide will be hosting the Saatchi Gallery exhibition British Art Now, which will come to the Art Gallery of South Australia from 29 July to 23 October 2011.
