Best Western Launches Free Internet Campaign
Best Western launches free internet campaign by Cheap Flights Booker UK
Paying for the internet in hotels is regularly quoted as a key bugbear amongst British travellers, but a hotel chain is aiming to make this a thing of the past as part of a new campaign.
Best Western is calling on hotels across the UK to get them to cut down on these costs as they are a major burden on UK businesses.
The hotel chain claims that if all in-room internet was free, then British businesses would be £1.4bn a year better off.
According to a study by research group BDRC, business travellers spent a total of 106m nights in UK hotels last year, racking up an average bill of £13.50 a night in Wi-Fi charges in the process.
Tim Wade, head of marketing a Best Western, said: "We are hoping our lead, and the success we have seen by introducing free Internet across our entire portfolio of hotels, can be replicated in hotel groups up and down the nation."
